Early Empires

at The Partisan

The band Early Empires is scheduled to perform at 9 tonight at The Partisan, 432 W. Main St. in downtown Merced. The bands Of Us Giants and Table for Five also are scheduled to perform. Admission is $5, ages 21 and up only.

Sound Remedy

at the Star Club

The Star Club will feature the band Sound Remedy from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. today and Saturday. No cover, ages 21 and older only. The Star Club is at 1331 W Main St. in downtown Merced.

Merced Symphony Association fundraiser

The Merced Symphony Association is scheduled to hold its annual fundraiser “Savor Our Symphony 2014: Italian Night” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 4 at the Italo-American Lodge.

The evening will feature hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar, along with a silent and live auction. All proceeds will help fund symphony concerts, concerts for children and educational programs, according to a symphony press release. Auction items include vacation cabins, sailboat rides, an authentic Italian dinner for eight with wine, jewelry, dining at local restaurants, tickets for the 2014-2015 symphony season, art, tire rotations, sports memorabilia, and more. There’s also the highly prized “mystery bag,” which spurs competitive bidding.

Individual tickets are $35. Special sponsorship tables for eight are available for $500.

Individual tickets are available at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, Merced Floral, Christina’s Fine Clothing, and Goldsmith Jewelers in Atwater. Karaoke benefit event

Walkers for Knockers: Team Sylvia Gillmore is scheduled to have a karaoke and raffle benefit event at 8 p.m. Wednesday at The Partisan. All proceeds from this night go to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. The team honors the memory of Sylvia Gillmore and those who continue to battle cancer, according to the event’s Facebook page.

Three Musketeers

at Playhouse Merced

Playhouse Merced is scheduled to present its production of Alexandre Dumas’ classic “The Three Musketeers” from April 4 through April 13. Directed by Micah Chandler, the play will be performed Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sundays at 2 p.m. at the theater, 452 W. Main St. in downtown Merced.

Tickets are $22 general, $20 for seniors, $12 for students and $10 for children. Purchase tickets by calling (209) 725-8587 or visiting the box office (open from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays) at 452 W. Main St. in Merced.

Haunted Summer

at The Partisan

Haunted Summer is scheduled to perform with Oya the Echoing at 9 p.m. Wednesday at The Partisan, 432 W. Main St. in downtown Merced. Admission is $5, ages 21 and up only.

Livingston Kite Festival

The third annual Livingston Kite Festival is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 6 at Livingston Middle School, 101 F St. in Livingston. The event is free to the public and the first 500 kids will receive a free kite.

The event will also include a kite-building contest and safety demonstrations.
