DigIn! , the West Sacramento Farmers Market dinner series, begins May 29, featuring Michael Thiemann, owner and chef at Mother, the new vegetarian restaurant at 1023 K St. in Sacramento.
Each dinner in the four-part series features a three-course, family-style meal prepared by a local chef and a special guest, using locally-sourced produce and ingredients. For each dinner, a local organization receives a portion of the proceeds. The May 29 dinner benefits the Yolo County Children’s Alliance.
Individual tickets are $75, and a four-ticket package for the entire series is $280. Other DigIn! dinners are scheduled for June 26 (chef Chris Jarosz of Broderick Roadhouse), July 24 (chef Ernesto Delgado of Tequila Museo Mayahuel) and Aug. 28 (chef Noah Zonca of Zonca’s).
Each dinner has a maximum of 120 tickets.
The West Sacramento farmers’ market is held Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the city hall galleria, 1110 W. Capitol Ave. The DigIn! dinners are served starting at 5:30 p.m.
