Two former workers have sued Sacramento’s popular Tower Cafe, charging that they were denied overtime pay, meal breaks and other benefits required by law.
The employees, Jose Camacho and Jose Luis Mora Rodriguez, filed suit last month in Sacramento Superior Court against the restaurant and its owner Jim Seyman. Camacho and Rodriguez worked until last year in the kitchen at Tower.
The lawsuit seeks class-action status, meaning Camacho and Rodriguez would represent anyone who worked at the Land Park restaurant in the past four years and was denied the same benefits cited by the two men in their lawsuit.
Seyman couldn’t be reached for comment Thursday.
