The Washington, D.C.-based Wood Products Council’s WoodWorks program will host a seminar Thursday in Sacramento.
Organizers said the seminar will focus on building taller, bigger, multi-story wood buildings and is geared to engineers, architects, builders and others with an interest in the design and construction of non-residential and multi-family wood buildings. Among other things, the seminar will provide details on building five-story-plus buildings utilizing wood-frame construction under the International Building Code.
It will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Firehouse Restaurant, 1112 Second St. in Old Sacramento. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. Organizers said attendees are eligible for education credits.
The cost, which includes lunch, is $20 per attendee.
