Douglas Adams, who has held numerous executive positions with Sacramento’s RagingWire Data Centers Inc. since its founding in 2000, has been named president of the company.
Adams most recently served as a senior vice president and chief revenue officer, and has played a key role in launching data center operations in Virginia and Texas.
RagingWire hosts websites and other data for corporate clients.
RagingWire also announced that another of its executives, Tim Nicols, has been named vice president of sales and business development. He will be responsible for global sales, channel development, sales engineering and operations.
As part of NTT Communications Corp., RagingWire designs, builds and operates large-scale data centers, including the 680,000-square-foot Sacramento campus with 52.7 megawatts of power. The company has nearly 1 million square feet of data-center space and 80 megawatts of power in the United States, plus an additional million square feet under development.
In 2013, RagingWire sold an 80 percent stake to Japanese telecommunications conglomerate NTT. The Japanese company paid $350 million for the stake.
