Generally declining labor demand nationwide was reflected in May job vacancies advertised online in Sacramento and throughout California.
The Conference Board, the New York-based business research group, said Wednesday that 30,900 ads were posted in Sacramento in May, down 5.8 percent from 32,800 in April and a 5.5 percent decline from 32,700 in May 2015.
Statewide, there were 582,900 ads posted in May, a 5.5 percent fall from 616,800 in April and down 7.2 percent from 628,100 in May last year.
Nationally, online advertised job vacancies fell 285,800 to 4.88 million between April and May.
