Free financial advice on retirement planning is available Thursday in an online chat, sponsored by Kiplinger personal finance magazine and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. Now in its 10th year, the “Jump-Start Your Retirement Plan” online chat invites anyone to post a question and get free advice from 20 fee-only financial advisors.
Among the topics: Saving for retirement with IRAs and 401(k)s; retirement taxes, estate plans and wills; Social Security and income-investing strategies; and other financial challenges, such as paying down debt or saving for college.
The event, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the West Coast, is accepting questions in advance online. To post a question or join the online chat on Thursday, go to kiplinger.com.
