The National Weather Service is predicting sunny skies for the long holiday weekend.
Friday’s high temperature is forecast to hit 75 degrees for downtown Sacramento.
“We’re a little above normal temperature-wise. Normal is 68 degrees for this time of year,” said weather service forecaster Mike Smith.
Temperatures will hover in the low-70s through Monday, when a weak storm is scheduled to encroach on the region.
“We have only a slight chance of rain. The system will bring cooler temperatures and cloudy skies,” Smith said.
