Temperatures are expected to cool down dramatically Friday, after hitting a record 80 degrees at Sacramento Executive Airport on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service is predicting clear skies and temperatures in the mid-60s through the weekend. Overnight lows on Saturday and Sunday are expected to drop into the 30 degree range.
By Tuesday, a small system is forecast to move into the region, offering up a slight chance of rain.
“We’re not looking at a big storm at this point,” said weather service forecaster Mike Smith. “Couple tenths of an inch would be the high end.”
