Man shot, killed in neighborhood near Sacramento Executive Airport

A man was killed Saturday night after he was shot multiple times while he was standing on a residential street near the Sacramento Executive Airport.
At 10:02 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the area of Hermosa Street and 47th Avenue on a call of shots fired and a person down.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds near the sidewalk. Sacramento fire personnel determined that the man, who was in his 20s, was fatally injured and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that the victim had been shot while he was standing near the edge of the street, and that multiple suspects had fled on foot after the shooting.
It was not known whether the victim lived in the area, or what he was doing at the time of the shooting. No one else was injured, and the investigation is ongoing.
