Government forecasters may be talking of a historic El Nino, but, for the time being, Sacramento area residents will have to settle for another dry, hot weekend with temperatures way above normal.
The National Weather Services forecasts Friday’s high to be 92 degrees with sunny skies. Temperatures are expected to climb to the triple digits on Saturday and peak at 102 degrees on Sunday in the Sacramento Valley, according to forecasters.
Rainfall, if any, is only expected to happen in the far northwest portion of the state, according to the NWS.
This above-average heat is predicted to be short lived though, forecasters said. A gradual cooldown is being forecast for next week.
