A Pacific frontal system is forecast to slide into Northern California Friday afternoon, delivering rain and snow on Halloween.
Thursday will see the last of the mild, warm weather for a while. The high temperature Thursday is expected to be 79 under mostly sunny skies.
Clouds start to move in Thursday night, followed by a cold front that will move through Friday, bringing precipitation and cooler temperatures.
Trick-or-treaters could see fairly wet conditions Friday evening in Sacramento, according to the National Weather Service. Snow levels Friday evening are expected to be around the 7,000-foot elevation level – then drop overnight to around 5,000 feet by Saturday morning.
