City attorney could get raise
The Sacramento City Council will consider approving a 2 percent raise for City Attorney James Sanchez for an annual salary of $240,087.69. The raise would come after a positive City Council evaluation of his performance in October, according a staff report. The City Council meets Tuesday at 6 p.m., City Hall Council Chamber, 915 I St.
Davis Measure O report set
The Davis City Council will hear a report on its finances related to Measure O, a city parcel tax approved by voters in 2000 to preserve and acquire open space in and around Davis. The city has protected 2,833 acres of open space since 2000 and received $8.9 million in Measure O parcel tax revenue since July 2001. The council is scheduled to hear the presentation at 7:35 p.m., Community Chambers, 23 Russell Blvd.

El Dorado school board to meet
During its regularly scheduled meeting, the El Dorado County Board of Education will review the procedures to fill the county superintendent seat that became vacant last month when Jeremy Meyers resigned. Meyers stepped down after his second arrest this year on suspicion of driving under the influence and secured a $125,000 agreement from the board in exchange for resigning. The board meets at 12:30 p.m., El Dorado County Office of Education, 6767 Green Valley Road, Placerville.
Dress for Success to hold shoe drive
Dress for Success, a nonprofit that provides professional attire to disadvantaged women searching for work, is holding a shoe drive. The group is collecting donations from 1 to 5 p.m. at its Sacramento location, 1825 Del Paso Blvd., Sacramento. The top 10 individual shoe donors are eligible for a $250 gift card to retailer Aldo.
