Three people have been arrested in the stabbing death three weeks ago of an El Dorado County man.
On February 3, El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the 3200 block of Sand Ridge Road in unincorporated Placerville where they found the body of 55-year-old Pete Thomas.
Thomas was dead from a stab wound to the chest, according to Sheriff’s Lt. Tom Murdoch. Since then, detectives executed 17 arrest and search warrants during the investigation into the death of Thomas.
On Wednesday detectives arrested on suspicion of homicide Nalana Omega, 31, Raul Gonzalez, 22, and Roberto Barrera, 18, all of Placerville, Murdoch said.
The motive for Thomas’ death has not been released. His killing is believed to have occurred around Jan. 31.
