The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the second victim of a fatal South Sacramento shooting Saturday afternoon that left two men dead and another injured.
Oudom Son, 46, was one of the men found with gunshot wounds at 4738 Brookfield Drive Saturday afternoon, according to the Coroner’s Office. Public records indicated that Son was one of three people listed as homeowners for the residence.
Philippe Matthew Kampouris, 27, was also listed as a victim who died in the shooting.
The Sacramento Police Department said a third man sustained serious injuries from an apparent gunshot wound, according to a department press release.
Officers were alerted of the shooting at around 5 p.m. when a neighbor called and said they heard gunshots coming from the home, according to Officer Traci Trapani, a police spokeswoman.
When they arrived, police found two men in a garage with gunshot wounds, she said. One of the men was unresponsive while the other appeared to have suffered a serious gunshot wound. Though both were transported to the hospital, one was pronounced dead on arrival and the second remained in critical condition.
A third man was found dead in a bedroom in the home, according to police.
A motive for the shooting has not been established. Trapani said the men were “known to each other,” but did not know their exact relationship. She added that one of the men who died was suspected as the shooter.
Several people were in the home at the time of the shooting, according to police.
