Two women whose strip show helped set a man up for a robbery-murder were sentenced Friday to six years in prison each.
Jeanette Campbell, 27, and Aubry Toews, 25, got their time on voluntary manslaughter pleas they took in exchange for their testimony against three other defendants charged with murder in the July 29, 2011, shooting death of Michael Sanderson, 54.
Campbell and Toews apologized to Sanderson’s family at the Friday sentencing.
Their testimony helped convict Patrick Joseph Godines, 30, Patrick Jerome McPherson, 28, and Travis Monroe Mabson, 34, in the robbery-murder of Sanderson in his Carmichael apartment on Manzanita Avenue. The three were sentenced last week to life in prison without parole.
Authorities said Sanderson had recently come into a $50,000 workers compensation settlement a short time before he was killed.
