An Auburn woman was arrested Friday afternoon, accused of driving under the influence of narcotics and striking a pedestrian in a shopping center parking lot.
The incident occurred about 1:13 p.m. As Julie Ann Blair, 54, was driving in the Auburn Elm Town Center, she allegedly struck a pedestrian who was walking in the parking lot, according to an Auburn Police Department news release.
Police said a subsequent investigation determined that Blair was driving under the influence of narcotics. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing injury. Bail was set at $50,000.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital for medical evaluation, the news release said.
