A motorcyclist died Wednesday night when his vehicle left the roadway east of Davis and struck a concrete wall.
The motorcyclist, a 55-year-old man from Sacramento, was eastbound on Chiles Road near the Yolo Fruit Stand about 8:30 p.m., when his Harley Davidson left the roadway for an unknown reason. The motorcycle went down a dirt embankment and struck a concrete drainage wall, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man died at the scene. His name has not been released.
