A woman has been transported to an area hospital after rescue crews pulled her from the Sacramento River early Monday evening.

Sacramento and West Sacramento fire departments pulled the woman from the river and she was receiving CPR, according to a Sacramento Fire Department Twitter post.

The Fire Department received a report around 6:30 p.m. of a body just downstream of the Tower Bridge.
