A Yolo County man has been convicted of possessing child pornography after more than 29,000 pornographic images were found on his computer.
Quin Martin, 33, was found guilty by a Yolo County jury on Thursday. The jury convicted him of possessing more than 600 pornographic images, increasing the potential penalty, according to a Yolo County District Attorney’s office news release.
The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation after receiving information from the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office regarding someone who was downloading child pornography in Yolo County. The Yolo County District Attorney’s Office assisted in collecting computers and other evidence. John Sadlowski, an investigator with the DA’s office, analyzed several devices over a six-month period, discovering more than 29,000 images.
Through the analysis, he was able to verify that Martin was the person responsible for the illegal downloading, the news release said.
Martin is to be sentenced Oct. 6 by Yolo County Superior Court Judge Paul K. Richardson.
