A domestic dispute in Stockton early Saturday left three people stabbed, including a 40-year-old man who sparked the confrontation and later died from his wounds, police said.
Officers were called to a home in the 4400 block of Calandria Street at 6:15 a.m. Saturday and found three stabbing victims: a 41-year-old woman, a 51-year-old man and a 40-year-old man who was dead at the scene.
According to police, the 40-year-old went to his ex-girlfriend’s home and ended up in a fight with her new boyfriend. The dispute escalated, with the ex-boyfriend stabbing both the woman and the new boyfriend, police said.
“At some point, the 51-year-old-man then stabbed the 40-year-old man, who died at the scene,” Stockton police said in a news release. The dead man’s identity was not immediately released, but police said there was a restraining order in effect to protect the woman from her ex-boyfriend.
