The California Highway Patrol is asking the public’s help in finding the driver in a hit-and-run crash in the Antelope area Wednesday night that seriously injured a bicyclist.
A 33-year-old Sacramento man was riding his bicycle east across Watt Avenue at 10:45 p.m. and was momentarily stopped in the northbound left lane, just south of Elverta Road. A gray or silver vehicle, possibly an Infiniti, traveling north on Watt struck the bicyclist, according to a CHP news release.
The driver left the scene, heading north on Watt Avenue. The bicyclist suffered major injuries, the CHP reported. He was taken to Mercy San Juan Medical Center.
CHP investigators say the vehicle likely has damage to the left front bumper and headlight.
