The Davis Police Department has released a sketch of a suspect sought in connection with an Oct. 28 attempted sexual assault.
The incident occurred about 10:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Alvarado Avenue near Anderson Road. A woman was returning to her residence and had parked her car in the parking lot. After retrieving her belongings from the car, she was confronted by a man who forced her back toward her vehicle. Once at the vehicle, he attempted to sexually assault her in the parking lot, according to a Police Department news release.
The woman was able to defend herself and escape.
Police arrived and checked the area, but they were unable to find the man.
The man was described as black, about 40 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds, with a wide nose, and bald with a salt-and-pepper beard. He was wearing a black jacket and dark-colored pants.
Anyone with information regarding the man’s identity is asked to call the Davis Police Department’s investigations division at (530) 747-5400.
