A jackknifed big rig and several other collisions snarled traffic this morning on Interstate 5 in the downtown area at the J Street offramp.
The crashes that occurred around 4 a.m. were still causing traffic problems a couple of hours later as crews worked to remove the big rig and other vehicles involved in the collisions.
Traffic was able to get by in one lane, but three lanes were closed for much of the early morning. All lanes opened at about 6:45 a.m.
