A Sacramento man with dementia who had been missing for a day was found Sunday.
William Howe, 68, was found by family members at 9 a.m. Sunday in the area of Watt Avenue and Arden Way. He is now safe and back with his family.
He had been last seen at noon Saturday at his family’s home, near South Avenue and Dayton Street.
Family members became concerned for his welfare, as he has advanced dementia and had been known for hitchhiking to Las Vegas in the past. He has no trouble communicating.
It was not known how he got to the north Sacramento area where he was found.
