An Amber Alert has been issued for a 14-year-old girl from Kennewick, Wash., who is believed to be with a man en route to Mexico.
Authorities said Elizabeth Romero was last seen Wednesday getting into an early 2000s green Ford Escape at 1800 W. Seventh Ave. in Kennewick. Her family believes the suspect, 19-year-old Edwardo Fabian Flores Rosales, is en route to Mexico with Romero. The Kennewick Police Department is investigating the disappearance as a kidnapping, according to the Amber Alert website.
Romero is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a white top and dark pants, and was carrying a backpack and a pink purse.
Rosales is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Authorities said the Ford Escape has a temporary license plate.
Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the Kennewick Police Department at (509) 585-4208, or a local law enforcement agency.
