Sacramento County law enforcement agencies arrested 21 people Friday for Driving Under the Influence during its annual holiday crackdown on drunk drivers.
Traffic and patrol officers from 17 agencies in the county are focusing their efforts this holiday season on identifying and arresting people who are drinking and driving. The crackdown, which includes multiple checkpoints and roving DUI Task Force vehicles, will continue through New Year’s weekend throughout the region.
On Saturday night, “DUI saturation patrols” will be deployed in the cities of Elk Grove and Sacramento, the agencies said.
Motorists who notice drivers who appear to be impaired should call 911.
