Whatever happened with the case of the body that a Sacramento police officer found on fire in an industrial part of Sacramento in September 2013? Was the body ever identified and, if so, have any arrests been made?

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the body as that of 51-year-old Sandra Joy Patterson of Sacramento.
A Sacramento police officer on patrol Sept. 23 saw an object burning in the 6000 block of Warehouse Way in the southeast part of the city near Florin Perkins and Fruitridge roads. Upon investigation, the object was determined to be a body.
Police spokeswoman Officer Michele Gigante said homicide detectives arrested Danny Garza, 36, on Oct. 24 in connection with Patterson’s death. Garza has been charged with murder and is being held without bail in Sacramento County Jail. According to Sacramento Superior Court online records, his next court date is Dec. 30.
