Man shot to death on north Sacramento street

Sacramento police homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a young man on a street just off Del Paso Boulevard.
Officers responded about 3:45 a.m. Monday to reports by citizens that shots had been fired in the vicinity of Beaumont Street near Del Paso and Rio Linda boulevards. Once they arrived, police found a man in his 20s suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Sacramento Fire Department medical personnel responded and declared him dead at the scene. His name has not been released by the coroner’s office, pending notification of family.
Homicide detectives are working the case, but no details have been released regarding motive, how the shooting occurred or whether police have identified any suspects.
