An Antelope home was heavily damaged by a fire Monday morning that investigators say was caused by arson.
The fire was reported at about 4 a.m. Monday. When Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District firefighters arrived, the house in the 8400 block of Piper Glen Way was engulfed in flames.
The home was unoccupied when firefighters arrived to battle the blaze, a fire district spokeswoman said.
Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring homes.
