A man was held up for his lawn mower by a robber armed with a crossbow on Monday in South Sacramento.
The man was doing lawn work outside an apartment complex in the 2400 block of 57th Avenue about 9:30 a.m. Monday when two strangers approached, one of them with his face covered.
Although details are sketchy, Sacramento police said that one of the robbers was armed with a crossbow and pointed the weapon at the man doing yard work. Meanwhile, the other robber grabbed the mower.
The robbers then fled on foot toward Woodbine Avenue, one of them pushing the mower.
