Girl’s death in Del Paso Heights under investigation

Sacramento police are investigating the death of a 5-year-old girl in Del Paso Heights.
Police and fire department personnel were summoned to the 3800 block of Jasmine Street about 8:30 p.m. Sunday on a medical aid call. Fire department medical personnel transported the little girl to a hospital where she died from her injuries.
A police daily activity log notes that the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death are being investigated “due to age of the child and the circumstances of how she was injured.”
Homicide detectives, crime scene investigators and Child Protective Services were notified of the girl’s death. The case is under investigation.
