Dozens of local residents are arrested every New Year's Day for driving drunk despite law enforcement warnings not to get behind the wheel after drinking too much at holiday parties.

Sacramento-area law enforcement agencies report they arrested nearly 250 motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the first two weeks of a special holiday anti-DUI campaign.

This map shows the roughly 60 people arrested and booked on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in Sacramento County.

Notes: About half a dozen arrests could not be mapped due to inadequate address information. All arrested are innocent until proven guilty.
