Davis police report that a motorist was the victim of an attempted carjacking on Sunday.

At about 6 p.m. Sunday a silver minivan blocked the path of a motorist who was trying to back out of a parking stall in the 1600 block of Research Park Drive in south Davis.

A passenger in the minivan approached the victim’s vehicle and pointed a handgun. The victim, who was not hurt, was able to flee and call police.

A search was conducted but police could not find the suspects or the minivan.
