A suspected serial burglar was arrested in the Tahoe area by Placer County sheriff’s deputies.
Jason Woodral, 35, of Merced, was booked into jail on eight counts of burglary on Wednesday. His arrest occurred after deputies responded to a Kings Beach Laundromat for a call of a burglary in progress.
Deputies said Woodral fled but was caught in a residential area of Kings Beach with help from Placer County Probation officers.
Woodral is a suspect in other burglaries in Kings Beach, including those at a car wash, a Pilates studio and a hair salon, according to a sheriff’s department press release. He also had an outstanding warrant stemming from a 2009 burglary in Merced.
