Sacramento Police Department offers app for Android phones

The Sacramento Police Department announced that a new app is available to allow people using Android phones access to police department information.
The SacPD App provides a centralized location where Android users can:
Contact police for an emergency 911 link or detailed phone directory.
Report an issue involving non-emergency information that may be submitted anonymously.
View missing person photos.
View the area’s most wanted.
View cold case files.
View the school resource officer contact list.
Access social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, nextdoor.com, You Tube and Nixle
View Sacramento Police Department news releases.
Open a web link window to an array of relevant links, including RAIDS Online, SacPD on COPS TV episodes, Instagram, Traffic Court Portal, community events involving the Police Department, victim’s resources and safety information.
Officials note that the Sacramento Police Department was ranked 15th among the 50 most social-media friendly cities in the category of the United State’s largest cities by MPHProgramslist.com.
