Auburn police need help identifying wallet theft suspect

Auburn police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman suspected of using credit cards from a stolen wallet to run up nearly $1,000 in charges.
Police said that the woman took the wallet from a customer at an Auburn store on Sunday and then went to another store on Bell Road. There, the woman is suspected of using credit cards from the stolen wallet to buy goods worth more than $900.
Anyone who can identify the woman is asked to contact Detective Dustin McLaughlin at (530) 823-4237, extension 221.
