Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies booked a teenager into jail Thursday morning after the killing of a man at an Arden-area apartment complex.
Montrell Woods, 19, was arrested on suspicion of homicide and assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim has not been identified.
Woods, who stands 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 100 pounds, was arrested in connection with the killing about 3 p.m. Wednesday of a 31-year-old man at the apartment complex in the 1800 block of Ethan Way.
Detectives say they learned that Woods, who lives in the apartment, argued with the victim before the shooting. Woods then allegedly held a gun to the victim and shot him once in the upper body.
The victim was taken by relatives to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
