The Sacramento County coroner’s office has released the name of the motorcyclist who died Thursday on Bradshaw Road when his vehicle hit a big rig trailer.
He was identified as Kerry Matthew Leisure, 40, of Elk Grove.
The California Highway Patrol reported that Leisure was traveling northbound on Bradshaw Road, north of Kiefer Boulevard, about 7 a.m. Thursday when he struck the big rig.
The big rig, a dump truck pulling a dump trailer, had entered Bradshaw Road from a gravel plant. The dump truck was partially in the two-way center divider and one lane of Bradshaw Road.
The trailer was in still another lane on Bradshaw Road. The motorcycle hit the left side of the dump trailer, killing Leisure.
The crash is under investigation.
