Woman dies in El Dorado County crash

A Kyburz woman died when her car went off the road Saturday in El Dorado County.
Nancy Clampitt, 58, was initially involved in a non-injury traffic collision the day of her death, according to a press release from the California Highway Patrol. Clampitt exchanged information with the other driver and continued on her way.
As she was driving northbound on Cold Springs Road, south of Browns Road, to the west of Placerville, her sport utility vehicle drifted to the left and off the roadway. Her SUV first struck a mail box, then a tree before going down a slight embankment and overturning.
The CHP said that Clampitt was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from her vehicle.
