A man sought in connection with a series of Woodland burglaries has surrendered to police.
Mario Lopez (pictured), 23, turned himself in to the Woodland Police Department on Saturday and was arrested without incident. He was booked into the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of burglary, probation violation, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a Police Department news release.
Six other people were taken into custody Thursday in the case after police served search warrants at homes in Woodland following an investigation into more than 100 burglaries in the city during November and December. Police said the searches resulted in the recovery of stolen property, including firearms, household items and tools.
Arrested Thursday and booked into Yolo County Jail were Mark Lasonde, 28; Kimberly Lalley, 24; Jose Garcia, 37; Blanca Hernandez, 30; Elia Garcia, 22; and Salvador Villa, 34.
