Police, firefighters investigate Placerville blaze

The cause of an early morning fire in Placerville that injured two men is being looked into by fire and police investigators.

The fire broke out about 5 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment in the 2600 block of Woodridge Court. The fire was reported by a neighbor.

When police officers arrived on the scene, they found two men outside suffering from burns. Two other occupants of the apartment escaped the blaze without injury.

Cause of the fire has not been determined.
