Sacramento police homicide investigators responded to a South Natomas home Saturday afternoon when a resident called in a report of a baby girl who was later pronounced dead.

Investigators said there were no immediate indications that the 3-month-old in the house in the 1100 block of Hawk Avenue was the victim of a homicide.

Officers got the call at 2:45 p.m. and emergency personnel pronounced the baby dead at the scene. Police spokesman Doug Morse said detectives are “looking for anything suspicious.”
