The name of the baby whose death is being investigated by Sacramento police has been released.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s office identified the infant as Anthoniece Mial, 3 months old, of Sacramento.

Officers and Sacramento Fire Department medical personnel rushed Saturday afternoon to the residence in the 1100 block of Hawk Avenue regarding a baby who was not breathing. The little girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

The specific circumstances of how the child died were not immediately clear, according to a police department watch summary. Homicide detectives were called in to assist with an investigation.

Cause of death is pending a coroner’s investigation.
