Sacramento police placed eight children in protective custody and arrested a mother for suspicion of child endangerment on Tuesday.
Officers responded about 8 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 3700 block of Branch Street in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood for a report from a teenager who said that her mother was intoxicated and assaultive, according to a police watch summary.
The mother, Rosa Sanchez, 32, was contacted by police who arrested her for misdemeanor suspicion of child endangerment for the alleged assault and unfit living conditions. Sanchez has since been released from jail custody.
