The FBI is asking for help finding a man they say is armed and dangerous – and might still be in Northern California.

Kevin Anthony Briggs, reported to be about 28 years old, is wanted for alleged assaults in Bozeman, Mont. He was seen in San Francisco, Berkeley and Oakland last week.

Briggs goes by many aliases, including “Kevin Bacon.” He also is fond of taking “selfie” photographs.

Briggs, a convicted felon and registered sex offender, is wanted for an alleged attack Feb. 1 in Bozeman. A woman said he attempted sexual intercourse without her consent and tried to strangle her.

Briggs resisted arrest and hit an officer in the face. He was transferred to the Law and Justice Center in Bozeman but escaped.

Briggs is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120 to 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a double “snake bite” piercing on his bottom lip.

Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call the nearest FBI office. Tips may also be submitted to tips.fbi.gov. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for his arrest.
