The California Highway Patrol has released more information about a motorcycle crash that killed a 25-year-old Sacramento man on Sunday in Antelope.
Mohammed Khan was driving northbound on Walerga Road just south of Shandwick Drive about 11:50 a.m. Sunday. The CHP said that Khan was trying to pass another vehicle on the right shoulder of the road as the vehicle was making a right turn onto Shandwick Drive.
The motorcycle struck the right front of the other vehicle, which caused Khan to lose control. The motorcycle hit the ground, sliding into a utility pole.
Khan was thrown from his motorcycle and struck a wall on the northeast corner of the intersection.
Khan was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:02 p.m.
