Sacramento County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a 19-year old man in connection with a killing in December outside a convenience store.
Detectives arrested Taejuan Jackson on suspicion of murder on Tuesday. He is alleged to have shot Juwan Howard, 19, on Dec. 21, 2013.
Howard was inside a vehicle at a convenience store in the 8000 block of Florin Road when detectives believe that Jackson approached and shot him through a car window. Howard drove away and friends inside the vehicle summoned help.
Howard, however, succumbed to his injury. Jackson and Howard knew each other, according to a sheriff’s department press release.
