A young mother is in jail after allegedly leaving her toddler alone in a car parked outside a supermarket, according to Sacramento police.
Dominique Howard, 22, was arrested for suspicion of endangering the life or health of a child about 11 a.m. Saturday after it was determined by police that she left her child inside the vehicle in a supermarket parking lot.
When police got the supermarket in the 3600 block of Northgate Boulevard, the one year old was being watched over by witnesses. Child Protective Services responded to the scene, taking custody of the child. Howard was taken to jail.
