Help sought locating missing man last seen near Galt

Update: Missing man from Galt area found

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 58-year-old man who was last seen in the Galt area Sunday morning.

John Ford (pictured) was last seen at Clay Station and Simmerhorn roads near Galt about 11:30 a.m. He is considered at-risk due to recent medical issues and his mental state at the time he was last contacted, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release.

He is described as white, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has short red hair that is graying, blue eyes, wears glasses and is said to walk with a limp.

He drives a 2000 red Toyota Tundra with California license plate 6N85746.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office at (916) 874-5115.
